Meriwether is a trio of musicians dedicated to exploring and performing the classic tunes and rare gems of the American fiddling tradition. The band takes a fresh look at presenting these beautiful old tunes by employing creative phrasing and styling through subtle improvisations and Irish-influenced settings.

Fiddler Clyde Curley, mandolinist Mike Haberman, and guitarist/banjoist Sam Vogt put a new spin on the old tunes in a way that is rarely heard in old-time music.

Named after the title of a grand old Kentucky fiddle tune, the members of Meriwether share a mutual commitment to finding and playing obscure tunes from the American South and Midwest seldom heard by audiences--and finding the groove to bring them alive.
