Boundary Bay Brewery Beer Garden, 1107 Railroad Ave, Bellingham

Irish & Folk Mondays Present The Collin Stackhouse Trio.

This is the first of many Mondays in the beautiful fun all ages beer garden at Boundary Bay Brewery, June - September.

Collin Stackhouse is a songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who calls Portland Oregon home. Raised in musical family in the wilds of Alaska, he has spent his last few years balancing his influences from traditional Irish fiddle, rock musicians like Jim Croce... and the princess of pop, Britney Spears. After releasing debut album in 2018 at the Alaska Folk Festival, he has toured locally and around the US with Alaskan, Portland and LA artists. He is a founding member of the boundary-pushing Scandinavian folk fusion group Varelse, which released their debut album this past March.

The Collin Stackhouse trio is comprised of Portland bluegrass musicians Julay Brooks and Joe Pomianek on guitar and mandolin, with Collin on clawhammer banjo and fiddle. Adding harmonies, ripping solos, and some classic Americana, their combined sound is perhaps one part Alanis Morisette, one part The Dubliner's, and yet completely original.

What some people have said: "Combining modern vocal edge with old time instrumentation, he accompanies himself on banjo in the moments when he isn't drawing on his roots in Irish and old time fiddling." - McKain Lakey

"A tinge of Americana, a snap of old-timey mountain sounds, a couple of hugs worth of Irish antics, and a barrel of authenticity" - Writer's Block, Anchorage
